Simmons K.E.L. (1952) Social behaviour in the Desert Lark, Ammomanes deserti (Licht.). ARDEA 40 (1-2): 67-72
The behaviour of a small party of Desert Larks (Ammomanes deserti) was studied at Adabiya (Egypt) in the winter of 1949-1950. While the birds were social to an effective degree for group movement, aggressive behaviour between individuals commonly occurred and was attributed to a low intensity drive. General notes are given on habitat, other bird inhabitants of the same area, feeding habits and voice.
